“Why Joy Trumps Happiness”
Another Patton Associates S-M-A-R-TBriefing™
True Jesus Followers prefer to be ‘joyous’ rather than ‘happy’. Most people, even Christians, do not understand the glorious distinction.
Last night, Karen, my wife, and I watched the movie, ‘Hitch’ (2005), starring Will Smith, as Alex Hitchens, and Eva Medes, as Hitch’s unexpected heartthrob. It’s about the “Date Doctor” who coaches awkward men in how to WOW their one-and-only loves.
We were watching it for the umpeenth time.
Hitch is a great movie! It includes many brilliantly written lines about life and real love! (Don’t miss the really funny trailer here.)
Here’s one of my favourite lines from Hitch!
Maybe this quote will help you better understand why joy trumps happiness …hands down for true Jesus Followers:
“Life is NOT the amount of breaths you take. It’s the collective moments that take your breath away!”
~ Writer(s) of the movie, ‘Hitch’, for Alex Hitchens as counsel to a coaching client.
BTW, Jesus promises that He came to earth as “God, The One and Only” in three personalities, died horribly to pay for our many sins, and then, rose from the grave to bring everyone who wants it …an abundant life of joy …now & hereafter” here.
Please let me have your questions and comments about what you’d add to, or disagree with, about the above. Also, let me know how else I might be useful to you in any way?
