Forgiving Yourself Is Unbiblical

“Forgiving Yourself Is Unbiblical”

There is no such thing as someone forgiving oneself. The idea that I can forgive myself is a delusion of grandiosity and arrogance the damages my heart’s hunger for intimacy. This delusional belief screams arrogance because it is an attempt to become a god through my own self sufficiency. Forgiving myself makes me a god!

~ Chip Dodd, US author (The Voice of the Heart …A Call to Full Living, pp. 110)

What do you think and how do you feel about Mr. Dood’s which is the opposite of what many teach?
